A New Day Is Coming

This hope that was given to those shepherds on that first Christmas morning is available only to those who believe. To know the pardon, joy, peace, and power that come through Christ, we must personally receive Him by faith. We must humble ourselves and admit our sin and our moral failure. And then by faith we must turn to Him as Savior and Lord.
From two momentous events, the birth and death of Jesus, God says to us, “I love you.” He also says, “I can forgive you.”
Queen Victoria once heard a preacher preach on that subject. And she said, “I wish He would come in my lifetime, so I could lay my crown at His feet.” Over 150 years ago, a French chemist named Pierre Bercheit said, “Within 100 years of physical and chemical science, man will know what the atom is. It is my belief that when science reaches this stage, God will come down to earth with His big ring of keys and will say to humanity, “Gentlemen, it is closing time.” The Bible teaches that there will be a close to history as we know it. Man will have his last battle, but when it seems that humanity is about to destroy itself, God will intervene. Christ will return.

“I looked, and there before me was a white horse! It’s rider held a bow, and he was given a crown, and he rode out as a conqueror bent on conquest.”                        (Revelation 6:2)

O holy night, the stars are brightly shining; It is the night of the dear Savior’s birth!
Long lay the world in sin and error pining, till He appeared and the soul felt its worth.
A thrill of hope, the weary world rejoices, for yonder breaks a new and glorious morn.
Fall on your knees, O hear the angel voices! O night divine, O night when Christ was born!
O night, O holy night, O night divine!

Truly He taught us to love one another; His law is love and His Gospel is peace.
Chains shall He break for the slave is our brother and in His Name all oppression shall cease.
Sweet hymns of joy in grateful chorus raise we, Let all within us praise His holy Name!
Christ is the Lord! O praise His Name forever! His power and glory evermore proclaim!
His power and glory evermore proclaim!
