Daily Walk Through the New Testament

Read Romans 4:13-5:11

We do not deserve the love of the Heavenly Father. He simply chooses to love us in spite of our selfishness and sinfulness. John 3:16, one of the greatest verses in God’s Word, states that “God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whosoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life.” Is there any greater proof of His love for us?
God knew we could do nothing on our own to save ourselves, so He came to our rescue. He sent the one and only lifeline that could save us, His Son, Jesus Christ. His love is greater than we could ever imagine! God never wavers in showing us His love — it is unfailing and eternal. He is indeed faithful! Even today, God is pursuing you with His love. Ask Him to help you receive it. Look around you and consider your life situation. What are evidences of God’s love for you this very moment?
1 John 4:19 says, “We love Him because He first loved us.” The Father longs for us to give Him our love in return, and there are so many ways we can do it. We love Him when we put faith in His Son, spend time with Him, grow to know Him better, honor Him in obedience, and love and bless others in service — and that’s just to name a few. David wrote, “Because your lovingkindness is better than life, my lips shall praise You” (Psalm 63:3). Fill in the 2nd part of that sentence your own way today with a heart full of love for and gratitude to God!
