Read Romans 8:18-39

Oh, how God loves His people! And His love is not only declared but also demonstrated. When it comes to love, talk is cheap. People can say they love you, but before you believe it, you have to ask, “Where is the proof? How can I know this person truly loves me?” God has given us His Son as proof of His love. Allowing His Son to die on the cross was His way of demonstrating to us beyond a shadow of a doubt that He loves us.
There are certain things that happen in life that can make us doubt God’s love. We experience pain and begin to ask, “How could a loving God allow this to happen to us?” Always remember this: the cross trumps everything! God promised us we would never be separated from His love, but He did not say we would never face difficulties or challenges. There are a lot of things in life you may doubt, but you can never look at the cross of Jesus Christ and doubt that God loves you!
True love does not just say, I love you”; true love is always expressed visibly. True love is something you can see, not just something you can feel. Jesus Christ hanging on the cross is God’s love for everyone to see. If you will allow the death of Jesus on the cross to forever settle any questions you might have about God’s love, you will approach any challenge with a newfound confidence. Let the fact that God dealt with your greatest problem — sin — serve as evidence to you that there is no challenge He cannot overcome. “We are more than conquerors through Him who loves us (Romans 8:37)!
