Daily Walk Through the New Testament

November 9

Read Romans 9:30-10:21

On the cross, Jesus wrote the payment check for our sins. At the empty tomb, God cashed that check and gave a receipt that said, “PAID IN FULL.” You may read those words and think, “I believe that.” But where do you believe it? In your head, or in your heart?
Romans 10:9 says that those who confess faith in Christ and believe in their hearts that Jesus rose again will be saved. Real belief is NOT in the head, but in the heart. The Jews considered the heart to be the core of the soul, the center of what a person really is. You can believe in your head everything you want to believe about Jesus Christ, but your life will never be changed until you believe it in your heart.
